The painting depicts a domestic scene in an open pavilion of a woman working in front of a weaving loom, watched by two companions with their arms resting on the bamboo railing. Watercolour and ink on paper. Artist unknown. Copied after Jiao Bingzhen's rendition of "Gengzhitu" (Illustrations of Tilling and Weaving), who was a court artist, active between 1680 and 1720.
