Head ribbon, sortir, woven (jacquard loom?) with complex pattern of scrolling flowers, some with black and white check pattern in the centre, in orange, maroon, black, green, light and dark blue and pink silk. The main pattern is bordered at each selvedge with a repeating floral pattern in orange, edged with simple green lines. Top and bottom of the ribbon has scalloped edge. Central third reinforced on reverse with cream cotton lining. Romanian label stitched to reverse reads: ‘6401, PANGLICA, Sura Mica, Sibiu, Stalin. Another label pinned to the reverse has the same details but the number 6396a.
