321.321 Necked bowl lutes (-5)

Sarasvati vina, lute, Tanjore model, made predominantly from wood with a papier maché upper resonator. There are four main strings. Three drone strings are pegged from the side of the neck. 24 frets. The scroll terminates in a yali's head formed from gilded wood. There are bands of ivory decorating the neck, and roses of ivory decorated with red and black pigment over the two soundholes. Bar to tail piece is nickel plated brass. With wooden stand.
