Silk sash, selendang, 'lokcan Juana', made in Java for use in Bali. Decorated in batik, wax resist, with floral and foliate designs against which are set stylised phoenix motifs. A triple border frames the main field, the two order borders containing simple geometric motifs, the middle border with a simple repeated pattern of foliate motifs. At each end is a panel of stripes. Fringed at each end with tassels.
