trousers

Man's trousers. The trousers have no shaping and are made from 4 lengths of white, warp-faced, hand-woven cotton with narrow spaced purple stripes. The two lengths for each leg are joined on the outside selvedges, and on the inside from the waist to the crotch where they divide into the two legs. Each trouser leg, back and front, is decorated with 4 rows of embroidered birds (to a depth of 26 cm), using a colourful array of plain and stranded embroidery threads.
