Embroidered woman's shift of fine white homespun wool, the upper part and neckline and sleeves embroidered with birds in cross-stitch. Threads used seem to be silk or mercerised cotton. Colours:red, yellow,green,dark blue,black. Cuffs have geometric cross-stitch motifs. panel and gussets under arms, also lower half of shift in slightly coarser quality fabric than the embroiedered area. L. 50" (1572) W.
