lid (containers)

Lid of covered box, made of bamboo. Side of the lid are carved in high relief with four warriors, two carrying shields alternating with two carrying banners. Top surface of the lid is carved in low relief depicting the meeting of two scholars in a landscape scene with pavilions, attended by two young attendants fanning their masters, within a band of carved ciruclar motifs and a band of petals. Edge of the lid is also docorated with a band of circular motifs carved in low relief.
