Reports: Transfer of Horniman to Education Officers Department

Document 1: Memorandum from the Education Officer concerning Horniman museum lectures and demonstrations to school classes
(1 Feb 1924).
Document 2: Report by the Education Officer considering whether further use of the Council's museums should be made in the service of education. The report provides an overview of the organization of the Geffrye and Horniman museums and makes proposals for the development of the museums as education centres, particularly for schools (July 1934).
Document 3: Observations by the Curator of the Horniman, Herbert Spencer Harrison on the Education Officer's proposals (31 Aug 1934).
Document 4: Report by the Architect, General Purposes Sub-Committee on the proposal to link the Council museums up with schools. Includes handwritten note 'this report was withdrawn by the Architect'.
