There are three sets of catalogue cards. The first set runs from 1898-c.1948 and is arranged by the blackwood classification system and then by museum number. Large sections such as 'skirts are further subdivided by continent, before being organised by museum number.
The Anthropology catalogue cards are arranged chronologically. The third set of cards is arranged geographically. Not all museum objects have catalogue cards.
