A collection of 46 prints depicting a variety of scenes from 'Chinese life'. There are a mixture of staged and natural shots. Major themes illustrated by these images include tea production, class and dress, crime and punishment, domestic arts and agriculture, transport and class. One print (ARC/PH/C572/014) is missing but has been digitised.
