Tabla drum. Vessel drum in the form of a truncated cone. The wooden shell encircled with three painted bands, each one with three stripes of yellow, orange and yellow. The eight cylindrical wooden tuning chocks (gatta) are painted yellow and orange. The tripartite head with central siyahi, the black paste tuning patch, damaged and repaired. The head is attached to a multiple leather hoop (gajra), and laced with a long strip of leather to the leather hoop at the base in a pattern of eight Ws.
