Long piece of barkcloth with painted black and red decoration on a cream ground. The longer sides are fringed by cutting the edges of the textile into thin strips. Both narrow ends have a cut dentate edge. The decoration consists of 2 bands of cross-hatched decoration at either short end. These frame 4 longer sections containing stripes of different triangular or linear black patterns. Some of the stripes are repeated in another section, but in a changing sequence (right to left). They are separated by narrower, patterned stripes (either red or black). The decorated area is bordered on the long sides by wide solid black stripes.
