
Buddhist text, Kammavācā or Buddhist ordination manuscript in lacquer and gold, written in Pali, in square Burmese script, on metal sheets in black on gilt and red lacquer background. One extra sheet of bamboo. 13 sheets of metal. Two wooden covers, with gold leaf shwe zawa work on the outer face. The cover boards and outer faces of the leaves are decorated with devas, or celestial beings. Wrapped in a sazigyo braid, which states the donor’s desire for Nirvana and applauds his or her deed of merit. It does not mention the donor’s name or the date.
