Jacket (shepek). Zakho, N W Iraqi Kurdistan, 1945. Plain weave, light tan with green line embroidery down both sides of the front, the middle of the back and in rings round the sleeves, with a rectangular patch at each cuff. Cloth is probably goat hair. With a pair of trousers. Worn by chiefs of the nomadic Harki tribes.Length 26 in.Width incl. sleeves 70 ½ in.
