Wooden box with hinged lid and lock. Sides slope slightly outwards towards the top. Painted with floral and vegetal motifs in various colours on all four sides and on the lid, with a painted iron hinge as part of the decoration. Inscription painted on the inside of the lid:' Den på kistbotten något spar/han på älderdomen/något har.' Roughly translated this means: 'Things which are kept at the bottom of the chest should be kept away from older people.' This is thus a box for a child. The inscription is surrounded by floral and vegetal painted motifs.
