mask (dance & live theatre)

Carved wooden mask depicting a human face with an integral nose in relief. The oval mask is painted black, with three slits for the eyes and mouth. The facial features are highlighted with white pigment, the cheeks are decorated with two possible sun motifs in yellow and orange, and the remainder of the face is decorated with white, green, and orange dots.

Collection Information

These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
