Lid for a circular bowl made of brass. Flat lid decorated overall with intricate patterns achieved by engraving, inlaying silver wire, and darkening the background with a black compound. At the centre is a circular design made up of interlocking lines; surrounding this is a band of alternating cartouches and medallions.
