Faded cotton girl’s cap with machine stitching around the brim, gathered at the crown with a plait cover or back flap. The plait cover is embroidered with four main motifs placed vertically, in pink, green and ochre. These are floral, curvilinear forms with dense filled-in embroidery (in a LAKHAI style) outlined with white and black. There is a border of one band of scrolls in yellow, and an outer band of tablet weave with hexagonal motifs in white, yellow and red (western Uzbek style, perhaps). At the base is a tassel of multi-coloured silk threads.
