skirt; textile; samphot hol

Tubular skirt made from tabby-woven silk textile decorated with weft ikat in pink and light purple on a dark purple ground. The ikat creates a dotted, ornamented lattice pattern containing diamonds. These are decorated with floral motifs or smaller diamond outlines in alternating rows. On one side the thin pink border is hidden by the hemming. On the other side, the thin pink border is followed by a plain dark purple band.
