



Headdress. Base of black cotton fabric. band applied above forehead crudely embroidered chiefly in cross stitch in red blue white and yellow. Above and below are 2 rows of aluminium discs with a row of seed beads between. Strings of these beads hang down in 2 loops and 1 single strand at each side of forehead and a further single strand at each side from top of front band. Red bobble at top of hat. Back has a traingular frame with black base fabric over it, decorated around the edge with a string of beads tacked round, loops of beads below and a single strand from the apex of the triangle. The triangle itself is decorated with aluminium discs, red stitching, two red bobbles and one green. Possibly made for sale to tourists.
