Archer's thumb ring of stone in the shape of a cylindrical tube. This type of object was called 'she' in ancient China and would have protected the archer's thumb from the bowstring when releasing an arrow. This form of arrow release is generally referred to as the "Mongolian Release". When the bow is drawn, the bowstring rests against the flat surface of the ring.
