winter hat

Semi-formal official's winter hat, ji guan, surmounted with an opaque white glass knob insignia, indicating that it was worn by an official of the 6th rank, on a gilt metal base. Part of the insignia is missing. The hat is hermispherical, with up-turned brim of padded black silk stiffened by cardboard, with a padded crown covered by red braided silk tassels extending from the knob. It is lined with red tabby woven fabric. There are two cotton cords to tie around the neck.
