A note explaining the Tamil name and the Sanskrit name for a nut/berry used to make a necklace, or rosary as a sacred object for the Saiva sect. The name of the nut/berry is written in the original language as well as translated.

These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
