MacCann duet system. Serial number 1615. Label engraved directly onto chromed ends: 'Lachenal & Co. Patent Concertina Manufacturers, London.' 12.25" long x 10.5" AF [across front?], stretched hexagon shape, raised fully fretted chromed ends, inset to edge, with extra holes in left-hand end for greater volume. 82 keys: 37 left-hand, 44 right-hand, + 1 air. Broad conical bone buttons, bushed. Crude leather hand straps, secured onto hand bars with nickel screws and ivory pallets. Eight-fold black leather bellows, covered with later plastic tape. Round-end steel reeds.
