Shot by me, Thorn Bushes, Chipmead, Hants; bottom left (no 2): adult male, October 1884. Shot by me, Thorn Bushes, Chipmead; bottom right (no 3): adult male, May 25th 1889. Shot by E. Steel (Keeper) at Holdenhurst, Hants; top right (no 4): adult female, summer plumage. Shot by Brewer (Keeper) at Tuckton Corner, Hants. Sexes differ, male: summer and winter plumage the same. Female: summer and winter plumage the same. Mounted by me'.
