
Folding screen panel with a dark wooden frame and decorative procelain tiles inset. The panel stands on two feet, and has a scrolled porcelain apron decorated with dragon scrolls in underglaze blue. Three tiles have underglaze blue decoration of bat (fu) and musical stone chime (qing), which form a pun for happiness and celebration, flanked by two lotus blossom. Alternated between these blue and white tiles are two larger tiles with overglaze polychrome enamel decoration. The upper tile depicts two young official bowing in front of a standing senior official and a seated elder lady, with a poem inscribed above. The lower tile depicts Li Tieguai, one of the Eight Daoist Immortals, sitting by a rock and underneath a tree in a terraced garden. Beside him are a crutch and his emblem, a gourd.
