A woven hat painted green on the outside and thickly lacquered on the insde. Outer layer finely woven, inner layer of much wider bamboo strips, twill woven. A small hole near rim. Paint coming off at the top. Inside support around forehead, and a cloth to tie around neck. Remains of label inside seems to have the word '..EWPORT' in large letters, and 'J & N. J. ...Stockport...'
