Oval netsuke case made of bone and wood. The base is painted red as are the upper rim and part of the inside. A label affixed to the outside reads 'Two netsukes Japanese presented by the executors of the late Mrs Purnell.' An earlier label is partly obscured but appears to read 'Netsukes or toggles, Japan.'
