feather box lid

Lid of a Maori feather or treasure box, engraved on the outer surface only. It is of lenticular shape, and pierced with a distinctive hole where a knot has fallen out. This hole has been incorporated seamlessly into the engraving scheme of the lid, which itself fits perfectly into the engraving scheme of the box itself.
