Sago hammer (Bedamuni: uaasu). A hammer for beating sago (uaasu), consisting of a handle made of taanu wood (Dillenia sp) on which a bamboo head (warisogo buni) is fixed with Iiana (urafaasi éfé). Beaters like this are used to loosen the pith of the sago palm before washing it with water. They are thrown away after usage.
