Base of a basket, called an 'oko beni' or an 'oko wini' (wini = seeds). It is made of lontar palm and is used for carrying seeds to the fields for planting. It has a square base with each lower edge plaited to form a ridge. A plaited strip runs around the bottom of the basket and holds the plyed handles in place. The basket is made by Ina Keraba Lodo. The entire basket is made of plant fibre woven using the plaiting technique. The rim is rounded. A length of twisted plant fibre is attached to the basket, with some red fibres tied around it in a tassel.
