Woman's apron, of wool on a cotton warp, woven in warp-faced kelim technique, in bands of green, black, yellow and red alternating with kelim-woven bands of geometric floral motifs in green, purple, red, yellow, white and black. The white yarn seems to be cotton, and the three lowest bands are wider and more elaborately woven than the six upper ones. There are three horizontal bands of sequins secured with clear glass beads; the vertical edges of the apron have similar. The vertical edges are finished in button-hole stitch with picot loops; the lower edge in buttonhole only; this has all been hidden by an edging of black cotton lace (machine made). The original ties (missing) may have been of plaited red and purple wool. Collector's no.: No. VII. L. 36 1/2" (938); w. 16" (417) Second card with following details:-
