Long rectangular cream barkcloth with painted decoration in black and brown. The textile has 3 distinct areas of patterning. The largest part is divided horizontally into 2 sections containing smaller rectangular areas decorated with 2 different patterns. Toward 1 end is a band with 3 floral or star-shaped motifs on a brown ground. The remainder of the cloth is patterned with a cream centre decorated with 6 black star-shaped motifs bordered with thin stencilled stripes and wide black stripes. The outside edge on the longer sides has been cut to create fine fringing.
